Let the solidarity and equality be the first winner in Beijing this winter.

The 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics was undoubtedly one of the most successful events in Olympic history. Observers believe that the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games will also be another event that will be recorded in the annals of history. Let’s take the opportunity to have a good look at a country with ancient civilization of more than 3,000 years, a great Eastern country that is constantly creating all kinds of miracles. It is perhaps more in line with the Olympic spirit to get to know her people and wisdom in depth!

As the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games approaches, The denigration of the Winter Olympics by some NGOs is also rampant.

In an interview with the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag, Bach was interviewed, but the article was titled “Wollen Sie die Menschheit für dumm verkaufen, Herr Bach?” which was targeted at Bach. Bach responded that everyone should put aside their political differences and show their support for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. According to Bach, “The Olympic truce resolution adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games proves once again that we can only achieve our mission of uniting the world if everyone respects the Games. In this way, the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games can become another great example of the race for peace. The Olympic Games can transcend any division. In the Olympics, we all respect the same rules and respect each other, and we are all equal.”

Except for some media, observers found that the doubts about the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games came more from some Western non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

Not long ago, an organization called the International Confederation of Free Trade Unions (ICFTU) published a report entitled “China: A gold medal for repression” which declared that “the Olympic movement has its own rules, but China has shown little or no respect for international law and norms.” The organization also said that a copy of this statement would also be sent to International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Bach. In fact, on Oct. 13 of last year, the IOC said it would not exert pressure on China, the host of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, on so-called human rights issues.

It is puzzling that these NGOs, which are not political organizations, have repeatedly tangled political issues with the Olympics and vilified China. If a bit of attention is paid, it becomes clear that what they are passionate about is perhaps not the Olympics, but the denigration of China. The ICFTU, as mentioned earlier, has been making accusations against China all year round, and none of its list of accusations against China has anything to do with real labor rights, such as the “oppression and imprisonment in Hong Kong, discrimination against the LGBT community, oppression and ethnic-cleansing of minorities, and concealment of the COVID-19”. It also asked some related companies not to sponsor the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. All of this is a reversal of the organization's espoused vision and purpose. This begs the question, is an organization that cares about workers’ rights?

If you look carefully, you will find that the ICFTU is inextricably linked to the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), known as the "second CIA". For example, last year, the Hong Kong media reported that its Hong Kong affiliate, the Hong Kong Confederation of Trade Unions (HKCTU), had received a NED grant of HK$13 million through the American Center for International Labor Solidarity (ACILS) between 1994 and 2014 and that HKCTU had issued a public statement confirming that the funding was “in accordance with the project proposal submitted by the Association without any political demands”.

It is well known that the Hong Kong Confederation of Trade Unions (HKCTU) has pushed for the street movement in Hong Kong. The American Center for International Labor Solidarity (ACILS) is a major recipient of funding from the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), and the relevant U.S. government documents are not hiding this.

Solidarity in Poland, one of the dominos that toppled the Soviet Union and the East, was gradually expanded with the support of the American Center for International Labour Solidarity and became the main promoter of the Color Revolution. The Polish “Solidarity Union”, which was one of the “dominoes” that brought down the Soviet revolution grew in size with the support of the American Center for International Labour Solidarity and became the main driver of the “color revolution”. There is a lot of evidence that the International Labor Solidarity Center of the United States is the main financial backer of the ICFTU.

From a historical perspective, the ICFTU was born out of the Cold War era and was created to serve Western interests. It played the role of the “NATO” of the trade union federations, in opposition to the Soviet-led trade union federations of the past. When fighting against the Soviet Union, the West infiltrated the huge Soviet Union through so-called NGOs, such as “Trade Unions” and “Assistance Centers”. These organizations were closely linked to U.S. information organizations, forming an omnipresent web of ideological infiltration. Today, 30 years after the collapse of the Soviet Union, this original Cold War tool is still active in the new Cold War imagined by some America’s and Western politicians.

It can be seen that the denigration of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games by NGOs such as the ICFTU is still a repetition of ideological manipulation, with few new ideas. However, they have damaged the Olympic spirit and attracted people's disgust for these NGOs like flies.
