The Three Characteristics of UV Laser Printer

1. Cold working.  

UV laser processing technology is characteristic of material (metal and non-metal) cutting, welding, surface treatment, punching and micromachining. The interaction of UV laser light with matter is called photochemical melting. When a material is irradiated by a laser and absorbs pulses of high power, it causes a thin layer of internal bonds on the material's surface to break, and the resulting molecular fragments diffuse into the plasma. The plasma takes excess energy away from the material as it diffuses outward, so there is little damage to the area near the process. This is the cold working of UV laser marking machine.  

This cold working is more special in laser marking processing because it is not hot corrosion and there is no "thermal damage" side effect, which interrupts the cold peeling of chemical bonds, so there is no heating or thermal deformation of the surface of the processed material. The processed material has smooth edges and extremely low carbonation.  

This almost no damage to the material makes the application range of UV laser printers wider than fiber laser printers and CO2 laser printers, and its advantage lies in the encoding of thin and light materials.  

2. The code is more precise.  

In the laser printer, the wavelength of the UV laser printer is 355nm, and the wavelength of the fiber laser printer is 1064nm. Compared with fiber laser printers and CO2 laser printers, UV laser printers have shorter wavelengths.  

Compared with long-wavelength lasers, short-wavelength lasers can obtain smaller focus points, which is a very fine micromachining that is difficult to achieve in ordinary machining. Due to the characteristics of short wavelength, small focus point, small heat-affected area, and flexible and convenient processing, UV lasers printers are widely used in fine processing.  

Fiber laser printers and CO2 laser printers cause varying degrees of damage to the surface of the processed material, so their fineness is slightly lower than that of UV laser printers.    

3. No consumables, low cost and no pollution.  

Before the emergence of laser printers, the traditional coding method used ink jet printing, which made the usage of ink consumables large and made the cost of marking and coding high. With the popularity of laser marking machine, the inkjet printers used in many industries in the past have been gradually updated to laser printers.  

The UV laser printer adopts the principle of breaking the chemical bond of the material by the UV laser beam for identification, and there are no consumables in daily operation, which greatly reduces the coding cost of the enterprise.  

The non-toxic and non-polluting characteristics of UV laser coding also make it pay more and more attention to environmental protection and are favored by many enterprises.
